ABOUT

I turn confusing systems into clear, useful interfaces.

Hi, I'm Sadie. I build tools that make the world feel a little less overwhelming, whether that means figuring out when to leave for the airport or seeing how one date can look different across cultures.

I got into web development because I believe access to understanding is its own form of equity. I'm drawn to geography, systems thinking, and the quiet satisfaction of turning something complicated into something people can actually use.

Airport departure planner interface showing a travel time form with departure countdown

Airport Departure Planner

LIVE

Enter your flight time, airport, and travel details — get a personalized departure countdown that factors in drive time, parking, security wait estimates, and boarding windows.

Built for people who hate showing up too early or scrambling through security. The calculator accounts for the parts of flying that are easy to underestimate.

            systems

Date Across Cultures

LIVE

Pick any date and instantly see how it appears in Hijri, Jalali, Hebrew, and other calendar systems. Built to show that time looks different depending on where you come from.

The project turns a familiar Gregorian date into multiple cultural formats, helping users see how the same moment is represented across different traditions.

European geography quiz showing a landscape photo and multiple choice country options

Landscape Detective

LIVE

Look at a landscape photo and guess the European country. No borders, no flags — just terrain, architecture, and vibes. Tests whether you can read a place, not just memorize a map.

The game scores players on accuracy and speed, with animations and a properly cited sources page for further geographic exploration.

ELIEC nonprofit website showing a responsive multi-page layout

ELIEC Nonprofit Site

LIVE

A full 5-page responsive website for a nonprofit organization, built with shared CSS architecture, semantic HTML, and accessible navigation patterns.

Features a mobile hamburger menu with ARIA controls, per-page stylesheets with a shared common.css, and consistent header/footer across all pages. Designed for real users, not just a class assignment.

  • Semantic HTML
  • ARIA Labels
  • CSS Architecture
  • Responsive Nav
Custom video player interface with keyboard shortcut controls and progress bar

Custom Video Player

DEMO

A video player built entirely from scratch — no libraries, no frameworks. Features drag-to-scrub progress bar, keyboard shortcuts, playback speed control, and volume adjustment.

Every control has ARIA labels and full keyboard navigation support. The drag-to-scrub on the progress bar required custom mouse and touch event handling — the kind of DOM manipulation that separates junior from intermediate.
